Flavor: Americone Dream

Description on Cup: “Vanilla Ice Cream with Fudge-Covered Waffle Cone Pieces & a Caramel Swirl”

Price: $5

My Comments: This flavor, endorsed by Stephen Colbert, is a classic mix of vanilla, caramel, and a little bit of chocolate. Right off the bat I was hit by the strong caramel flavor, and for the most part it stuck around the whole time I was eating the ice cream. The crunch of the waffle cone bits were nice, but not enough to make this flavor anything spectacular. It easily could have been any other kind of ice cream, nothing differentiated it in quality or flavor. It was safe, and not too chocolaty for those who are not fans, but otherwise not too exciting. Stephen Colbert, if you are reading this, please put your face and name on a new Ben & Jerry’s flavor. While this was good, I would expect something far better and more out of the ordinary from you (but I still love you, you’re awesome, do whatever you want).

P.S. Augsburg College is fully in tact and in no way burning to the ground. To the contrary, it is expanding and planning the construction of what will be a beautiful science, religion, and business building. Also, we didn’t actually scar all that many first-years, probably only a few.
